| pugetsalish.com was created by Zalmai Zahir, owner of Zahir Consulting Services.
Zalmai Zahir works with the Lushootseed (Puget Salish) language and culture. He lives in Des Moines, Washington, where he teaches, studies and researches Lushootseed. He has authored many publications, including beginning and advanced Lushootseed text books, songs, and a series of interactive CD-ROMs for learning Lushootseed. His main goal is to see Lushootseed language revitalized through full immersion language programs.
