IMERSION COURSES
We believe the path to full language revitalization is through immersion. Language immersion is not A way to revive a language, it is the only way. Several indigenous languages have been revitalized and stabilized through programs that follow this method. From time to time, we will be conducting full immersion classes, workshops and day camps for children and adults. Please check this page periodically for information.

NILI: From June 22nd through July 3rd, 2009, the Norwest Indian Language Institute (NILI) will be holding a 2-week language institute for teachers at the University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon. Along with a full-immersion Lushootseed language course, the institute will also be teaching courses in teaching methods, computer technology, classroom materials and technology, linguistics, Sahaptin, Chinuk Wawa, and Tolowa.
